Hi All!
I’m a retired physician. After a decade of practicing as a psychiatrist, I joined the Food and Drug Administration, where I spent most of the rest of my career (16 years) as a reviewer and regulator of information, investigations, and marketing of pharmaceuticals. For about 2 years I developed research on treatments of addiction at the National Institute on Drug Abuse. More recently, I engaged in freelance medical writing and legal consulting on pharmaceutical issues.
In this blog, I’ll be posting on developments in biomedicine and other sciences, as well as commenting on books, movies, and the arts. I hope you find my words interesting and worthwhile. I welcome your comments, but please keep them courteous.
